Returning to the scene of the crime

2007! In February, we'll be celebrating our first anniversary. Over the course of that year, we have learned a lot. Maybe too much. Way too much.

This week:
-  Comedian Marc Meron
-  The Human Condition
-  DCLugi
-  ShoutThing
-  Amanda escorted out of CES
-  and some Podsafe Music!

You have till the end of January (just several days left) to take advantage of the Koingo Software bundle at:
www.koingoSW.com/promos/digitaldatacompanion

During the break, I was surfing one day and I came across a picture of Leo Laporte. I must have spent at least an hour looking at it, but I'll be darned if I can find the seam! Can you?

Trying to get some more swag for you guys. It would really help if you would all pin the Frappr board and start sending comments to the Sandblog. Not insisting, just saying ...

Let's Give It Another Go

2007! In February, we'll be celebrating our first anniversary. Over the course of that year, we have learned a lot. Maybe too much.

This week:
 Comedian Marc Meron
 The Human Condition
 DCLugi
 ShoutThing
 Free Hugs
 and some Podsafe Music!

Not a bad start, but definitely have to get back into the routine.

The web site is down and we don't know why! And the computer is on the fritz and we don't know why! The monitor is acting up and I don't know why!

Why?

Meanwhile, back in 2007...

C'mon, c'mon. Wakey, wakey! The dream is over and its time to get back to the 9 to 5. It was a wonderful week with all those product announcements ( and I consider the iPhone to be at least five products) and probable record number of attendees.

Plus, as an added bonus, everyone at CES in Las Vegas were talking about what was happening at Macworld. And with the name change, why shouldn't they.

Except poor Mr. Gates. He still doesn't get it. And he never will. I'm actually feeling a little sorry for the guy. (Naw, kust kidding! Who could feel sorry for such a deluded robber baron?)

In our final episode, we dole out the 2007 Macsimum Awards. The biggest surprise is that the iPhone didn't make the cut!

Gawd, but you're gullible.

Till 2008 ... ta ta.

Y'know, attending Macworld isn't fun and games. There's a lot of networking, researching and writing going on. From the comfort of a luxury hotel room.

With yellow stripes. And comfy pillows.

Unfortunately, some of us get left behind to deal with the day-to-day trials and tribulations. Still, I'm not complaining. Someone has to assemble the show. (Cold hearted...)

Dennis shows us more of what he saw on the show floor. To see all of his photos, point your browser towards <http://www.twango.com/search/DSellers?tab=media>.

And don't forget to leave your comments and thoughts of Macworld at <http://www.thevideosandbox.com> in the Sandblog.

Till then,
Stay warm.

The glaze over our eyes is slowly melting away and now we can start seeing what the Stevenote has left behind.

There's the Apple iPhone (who's name is already under litigation with Cisco), The Apple TV, the new citrus scented 802.11n and the Paramount movie catalogue. Excellent, particularly when you consider all the devices that make up the iPhone (although a wood like to see an optional can opener and zircon encrusted tweezers).

Now we start wading through all the third party booths and listening to all the pundits. I guess that I'm going to have to go down to the MacworldExpo site to get a list of all the booths and start cramming (in a nice way, of course).

BTW, I now have comments on the Sandblog at www.thevideosandbox.com. Leave some email about what you think of all of this and i'll read it on the show.

Until tomorrow, nighty night.

It came. It went. And we we're all the better for it.

It'll take several weeks to sink in (it took two weeks for my phone number). So many toys packed into the iPhone alone. It even julienne fries. The only thing it isn't is free.

Let Gates party at his social. As for me, let me go where dreams come true - Apple, Inc. 802.11n, AppleTV. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

After all is said and done, all I can do is repeat what one of the attendees said: "Wow. Just wow." - MacDailyNews

See y'all tomorrow. Ta ta.

Finally, it's here.

We had to wade through Thanksgiving, Christmas and nine dozen bowl games. But now the moment has arrived.

The Stevenote.

It's scheduled for two hours, so unless Megadeath is appearing, there should be some surprises. The Beatles catalogue perhaps? Free MacBook Pros throughout the month of April?
Zune knock-offs?

Who knows. Either way, Macsimum News' Chief Macsimizer and I will be bringing you daily updates. And to complete you Applescape, download "Mac OS Ken" from the Macsimum News site.

So, may all your wishes come true.

But particularly mine.
